Top 3 of CES

This last week I went to CES, Consumer Electronic Show, and thought I would share what I thought was "best of show"....

1st place goes to...LG's OLED 3D TV. Okay, any TV that is 4 mm thick is going to be cool but it goes beyond cool. The TV is not just thin but that it is bar-none the best 3D TV that I have ever seen. For a TV manufacturer that started by selling OEM TV's, they are killing everyone else.

2nd place goes to.... 3D printing. If 3D TV is number one then number 2 has to have something to do with 3D, who knew it would be 3D printing. I know this technology is not new but it was new to me. It is insanely simple and looked like someone made it out of their garage. Even though it was simple, it was impressive.

3rd place goes to.... Sony Ericsson's beta wireless headphones. This isn't your typical wireless technology (Bluetooth, etc.). This invention uses your body as a means of transporting a signal from the device, a phone or ipod, to the headphones. The product is still in the development phase and doesn't actually have a prototype but the demo was impressive and caught my interest. It would be cool if they can pull it off but who knows, it might cause cancer!

4th place goes to.... all of the car manufacturers. This might sound random but after looking at my pictures, all I had were pictures of cars. My background in automotive is probably the reason for my fascination but with so many photos, it must mean that the cars had to at least be in the running.
